Mangawhai Community Park improvements
Our contractors and their team are starting work on some of the improvements to the Mangawhai Community Park facilities later this week.
The work involves; removing vegetation on the sand-dune mound near the park entrance (between the skate park and toilet), some preliminary works for excavation of the sand-dune mound, and then ground preparation using the sand for some of the new park pathways. The water tanks may be moved temporarily to allow for the transport of the sand. As well as creating new pathways through the park, this work will improve access to the park and allow for more parking.
Our team is working to avoid the busiest times and apologise for any inconvenience to park users.
The work follows the guidance of the Mangawhai Community Park Master Plan, and is funded through the accelerated works package (Te Tai Tokerau Redeployment Package) from central government.
