Kaipara District Council owns community housing in Dargaville, Ruawai and Mangawhai.
The criteria is a single person 65 years or older or 55 years of age with a permanent disability and limited means, who are capable of independent living. We do not operate a waiting list, instead we will find the most suitable tenant whenever a vacancy occurs.
Dargaville Community Housing

Mangawhai Community Housing
We are not currently accepting enquiries or applications for pensioner housing in Mangawhai while Council considers services and activities as part of its Long Term Plan 2027–2037 decision-making. We appreciate your patience and will provide further updates once a decision has been made.
