Long Term Plan

The Long Term Plan (LTP) sets Council's strategic direction and work programme for the 10 years ahead. It outlines the services we will provide, the projects we will undertake, the cost of doing this work, how it will be paid for and how we will measure our performance.

Our LTP also incorporates a range of financial policies.

Long Term Plan 2024 - 2034

We've started preparations on the new Long Term Plan (LTP) for 2024/2034. The new plan will not be adopted until mid-2024 but our work to build it starts now.

Early input from you will help us understand what you love most about this district, what you want us to focus on, and what new ideas you might want to see. Formal consultation for the new LTP will take place in the first part of next year.

Share your thoughts and aspirations for Kaipara District in the short survey below.

Long Term Plan 2021 - 2031

Our current Long Term Plan 2021 - 2031 was adopted on 30 June 2021.

Please note that our Māori Freehold Land Rates Postponement and Remission Policy was reviewed in 2021 and has been updated.  The version of the policy included in the LTP is now no longer valid.
