It is important for the Council to know how Kaipara residents feel about our performance and the way we deliver our many services and activities. One of the ways we do this is to undertake resident surveys – to look at what we do well, and where we need to make improvements.
We set ourselves performance targets for many of our services – both through our long term and our annual planning process. The survey results tell us how we are performing against these targets and inform our Annual Report each year.
We contract an independent research company, called Key Research, to conduct our resident survey. They ensure it’s done correctly, using statistically representative samples of Kaipara residents to get accurate results. Key Research carries out similar surveys for other local authorities in New Zealand.
Our 2022-2023 survey is currently underway
The 2022-2023 Residents Survey of Council is now underway through to June 2023.
It covers services such as parks, libraries and service centres and is distributed to a wide range of people via email, letters and feedback at Council facilities.
Data collection for wave three will commence on 21 April 2023 and the final annual report will be available in July 2023.
Survey recipients are randomly selected from the Electoral Roll. If you are approached or contacted we encourage you to participate.
If you have any questions about a survey invitation you have received, please contact Key Research on 0800 501 015 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
