New Valuations out for properties
Look out for the new Rating Valuation for your property in the mail from 04 February.
The Land Value of a property is based on the likely sale price of the land if it was vacant. Your valuations are reviewed every three years and are used by councils as a basis for setting rates.
The average increase in land value across the district is 17.5%. Residential land values have risen by an average of 24.4%.
Valuations will be posted on 03 February and start arriving in letter boxes the following day. If you can’t wait that long to find out what your property is valued at you can check it out online or call in to our offices in Dargaville or Mangawhai to find them.
You can find more in the brochure here.
Property owners have until 12 March to raise objections to the valuations if they wish to. Objection forms are available online or from the Council offices.
