The Dargaville Town Hall project is moving into its next phase, with the resource and building consent for demolition now issued and the search for a contractor to carry out the work underway.

A special citizenship ceremony was held overlooking the Northern Wairoa River.

The former Maungatūroto Centennial Memorial Library and Women’s Rest Rooms will be demolished after an assessment confirmed the building is no longer safe or fit for use.

Kaipara District Council will join the Local Government Reform Elected Member Steering Group, confirming its participation in a regional response to local government reforms. 

District councillors from Far North, Whangārei and Kaipara have approved key governance and transfer agreements, marking a significant milestone as the Northland Waters establishment programme moves into its next phase.  

Following on from our earlier update about the water leak next door, we now have the results of air quality testing at Maungatūroto Library.
