Kaipara District’s new Council has officially taken office.

After more than 20 years building my planning career in the Whangārei and Waikato districts, I have returned home to bring my skills and experience back to the district I care about.

With just seven days left before voting closes at 12 pm on Saturday 11 October.

The Kaipara District Council meeting on 24 September, featured valedictory speeches from retiring councillors Eryn Wilson-Collins and Mike Howard.

A partnership agreement between Kaipara District Council and the Te Tai Tokerau Water Trust (the Trust) delivering a major infrastructure package for Dargaville and the Northern Wairoa Agricultural Delta has been signed.

The district’s love of storytelling has found a new home in Harding Park, Dargaville.

The voting period runs from 9 September until 12 noon 11 October 2025.
