To support the District Plan Review, Council engaged consultants to undertake research and analysis on geotechnical hazards in the District. These reports will help identify where potential appropriate development may occur and whether any further controls are needed in certain locations.
The following area specific Geotechnical Hazard Assessment Reports were developed based on the work undertaken:
While these reports will help inform the development of the new District Plan, they are also helpful for other areas of Council’s work, such as infrastructure planning and building consent matters.
