Her goal is an innovative and progressive Kaipara, which responds to the area’s changing needs and works together effectively to build strong healthy communities.
Libby has over 25 years experience working in health, social services and the community in clinical, leadership and funding roles. Presently she works as manager of a community organisation - Jigsaw North Family Services, based in Whangarei.
Libby has been involved in governance for over 15 years and currently serves on Northland District Health Board, Rural Support Trust Northland, Sport Northland, Volunteering Northland and Otamatea High School Board of Trustees.
Libby lives with her husband, Pete Hames, at Taipuha near Paparoa, farming beef cattle and grazing dairy heifers on their farm blocks. They have two teenage daughters and are active community members. She is determined to help make Kaipara a better place for all.
