Kaipara District Council are setting the Fees and Charges for the upcoming 2020-2021 year.
In line with measures to reduce the financial impact post COVID-19, Council decided to hold back any increases on Fees or Charges where possible.
Two increases to the proposed Fees and Charges for 2020-2021 are
- Costs related to burials
- Pre-application fees for developers (the new package includes up to two experts (e.g. Planner and an engineer) for a meeting up to an hour with minutes from the meeting being provided to the applicant. General enquiries are still free of charge and covered by the rostered Duty Planners.
Council is seeking feedback on the Proposal, by 4.30pm, Wednesday 10 June 2020.
We set fees and charges on a user-pays basis to ensure that rate increases are kept to a minimum where possible.
fees and charges are used to assist the operation and maintenance of a variety of services provided to the community.
Fees and charges are reviewed on an ongoing basis. All fees are GST inclusive unless otherwise stated.
Council’s financial year runs from 1 July – 30 June.
