Covid-19 business, community and sporting grants

Kaipara District Council is offering grants to businesses and community and sporting groups in genuine need as a result of Covid-19 Lockdown.

The grants are intended to make it easier for them to return to operations by offsetting some of the costs they face in dealing with Council.

Grants available are as follows. For:

Hospitality industry, or those that require health, food or alcohol licences to operate 

  • Up to $1500 grant to offset licence fees 
  • Up to $500 grant to offset against rates 
  • Up to $1000 to seek professional advice, such as accounting, human resources or business mentoring to help improve your operations, or resolve issues resulting from the business shutdown. 

All businesses

  • Up to $500 grant to offset against rates
  • Up to $1000 to seek professional advice, such as accounting, human resources or business mentoring to help improve your operations, or resolve issues resulting from the business shutdown. 

Community and sporting groups

  • Up to $500 grant to offset against rates
  • Up to $1000 to seek professional advice, such as accounting, human resources or business mentoring to help improve your operations, or resolve issues resulting from the business shutdown. 

Campsite operators leasing Council land

  • up to two months lease, to a maximum of $1000
