Kaipara District Council Mission Statement: We will work with the community to preserve our heritage, enhance our environment, and provide the best possible services and facilities to make Kaipara an excellent place to live.
The Council recognises that its first
responsibility is to the people of the district.
We are a service provider to the community. Council
will, in partnership with the community, facilitate,
plan and encourage growth. Kaipara District Council
is the seat of local government for the District.
As local leaders, the Mayor and the eight Councillors
work to ensure that the voice of the Kaipara community
is heard at the national level through our Elected
Members.
Kaipara District
Council Neil Tiller JP is a member of the Mayors
Taskforce for Jobs. Council is committed to realising
the aim of the Taskforce. That is, by the year
2007 all young people under the age of 25 will
be in full time employment or training.
