Kaipara District Council seeks FeedbackAs part of its on-going commitment to seek public opinion and involvement, the Kaipara District Council is to conduct a survey of its residents. “We want to get a better understanding of how well the public think Council is doing” says Corporate Services Manager Barbara Ware. “The best way to do this is to interview a representative cross-section of residents by an impartial independent group”. Miss Ware went on to say “I encourage anyone who is contacted to please take the time to participate. National Research Bureau (NRB), an independent research company offering specialised services to Local Authorities throughout New Zealand, has been commissioned to undertake the survey and report back to Council. Using a random selection method, residents from throughout the District will be telephoned and asked their opinions on the services Council delivers in the District. The survey is totally confidential. The results of the survey form part of the Council’s formal reporting. They are also important in planning for further improvements to Council’s delivery of service. Interviewing for the survey commences on Friday 27 January and is expected to be completed on Sunday 12 February.
